The Cotton Net: A Premium Hand-Woven Geometric Kelim
The Cotton Net is a hand-woven geometric kelim from Mae Artisan Rugs. Part of our
Kelim Collection, this flat-weave rug is woven in India from 80% wool and 20% cotton. The open net-like pattern in warm beige and biscuit tones creates a light, airy feel.
Artisanal Quality and Materials
Crafted with 80% wool and 20% cotton, the Cotton Net is built for everyday life. The wool provides natural warmth and durability, while the cotton core keeps the flat-weave structure stable and prevents the net pattern from warping over time. Our yarns are batch-dyed by hand, which means each rug develops subtle, organic colour variations known as abrash. No two Cotton Net kelims are identical.
Styling Your Cotton Net Kelim
The Cotton Net's open geometric pattern in beige and biscuit works beautifully in bedrooms, living rooms, and smaller spaces where a lighter, more delicate rug is needed. The compact size makes it well suited as an accent piece beside a bed, under a coffee table, or in an entryway. Its neutral palette pairs naturally with natural wood, rattan, and linen.
Care and Longevity
Vacuum regularly on a low-suction setting without a beater bar. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, damp cloth. Since this is a handmade item using natural fibres, professional cleaning is recommended every 12 to 18 months. Rotating the rug every six months ensures even wear. Learn more about
