The Patchwork: A Premium Hand-Woven Rug
The Patchwork is a hand-woven rug from Mae Artisan Rugs. Part of our
Contemporary Collection, this flat-weave rug is woven in India from 80% wool and 20% cotton. The patchwork pattern in black, blue, brown, green, pink, purple, and red creates a rich, multicolour mosaic of contrasting shapes and colours.
Artisanal Quality and Materials
Crafted with 80% wool and 20% cotton, the Patchwork is built for everyday life. The wool provides natural warmth and durability, while the cotton core keeps the flat-weave structure stable. Our yarns are batch-dyed by hand, which means each rug develops subtle, organic colour variations known as abrash. No two Patchwork rugs are identical.
Styling Your Patchwork Rug
The bold multicolour patchwork pattern of the Patchwork makes it a statement piece for eclectic, bohemian, and contemporary interiors. The vibrant mix of colours adds visual depth and personality to living rooms, dining rooms, and creative spaces. It pairs well with solid-colour furniture and natural materials.
Care and Longevity
Vacuum regularly on a low-suction setting without a beater bar. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, damp cloth. Since this is a handmade item using natural fibres, professional cleaning is recommended every 12 to 18 months. Rotating the rug every six months ensures even wear.
