The Kaleidoscope - KLUK/CGDT Collaboration
The Kaleidoscope is a hand-knotted rug from Mae Artisan Rugs. Part of our
Collaboration Collection, this rug is hand-knotted from 75% Tibetan Highland wool and 25% bamboo silk at 100 knots per square inch. Designed in collaboration with KLUK/CGDT, the kaleidoscope pattern in blue, brown, green, grey, orange, pink, and purple brings a vibrant, multifaceted quality with a subtle silk sheen.
Artisanal Quality and Materials
Crafted from 75% Tibetan Highland wool and 25% bamboo silk at 100 knots per square inch, the Kaleidoscope represents some of the finest rug construction available. Tibetan Highland wool provides a strong, warm foundation, while the bamboo silk fibres add a subtle lustre and softness. At 100 knots per square inch, the hand-knotted construction creates an incredibly dense, detailed pile.
Styling Your Kaleidoscope Rug
The vibrant multicolour palette and intricate kaleidoscope pattern make this a striking centrepiece for contemporary, gallery-inspired, and bold interiors. The silk highlights catch light throughout the day, adding depth and movement. It works well in living rooms and spaces where an art-forward rug can take centre stage.
Care and Longevity
Vacuum regularly on a low-suction setting. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid rubbing, which can damage the bamboo silk fibres. Professional cleaning every 12 to 18 months by a specialist experienced with silk rugs is recommended. With proper care, this rug can last for generations.
